Let's just forget that and go back to Timothy Leary.

I've featured that slogan on my blog's masthead for months now. Good words to live by, though I'm not sure they originated with Leary.

You know, Dope, I think I may have been subliminally influenced by your masthead. Good job. It immediately came to mind after I began to read the americablog post.

Nice catch on the quote. You're right. Some people say it was Abbie Hoffman, but I checked the attribution, and it's part of a long passage by Leary, who attributes it to Socrates.

I thought more people would like the attribution to Leary than the headier, "well, Socrates said..."
