Today's Overstated Headline.

"U.S. Trade Deficit Improves in February" should actually read "Little Change in Worst-Ever Trade Gap."

A 4.2% drop in the trade deficit in the middle of winter is nothing to write home about. On the whole, if this good news, that the trade deficit dropped a whole 4.2% from the previous month, were extrapolated we would still have a massive figure of more than $658 Billion at year's end.

Worse yet, if the trade deficit drops a whopping 4.2% from last year's record it would stand at more than $693 Billion.

Let's see if Hastert's website uses this somewhere in their countdown on the old homepage.
